Wuxi International Marathon came to an end on Mar 15, with Chinese runners the top spots in each of the marathon and half-marathon races.
Unlike the usual setup of supply depots every 2.5 kilometers after the first 15 kilometers in other domestic marathons, the Wuxi International Marathon set up refreshment points every kilometer after the first 15 kilometers.
There was a plentiful supply of food at the event, including 85 crates of bananas, weighting 1300 kilograms; tens of thousands of steamed bread buns; 60,000 cereal bars; and 120,000 bottles of drinks.
For the convenience of players, a total of 250 toilets were available for use at different points along the route.

Boasting the highest standard of emergency medical systems in China, the Wuxi International Marathon introduced 45 AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) and 12 ambulances, each with four professional medical staff. A total of 500 volunteers were chose to work at the marathon, after having received comprehensive training.
