Li Xiaomin, the new Party chief of Wuxi, Jiangsu province had a meeting with a delegation from the German Bosch Group headed by Markus Heyn, president of Bosch Diesel Systems, on April 22, the Wuxi Daily reported.
Welcoming the delegation, Li briefed the visitors about the development of local industries. He pledged to provide continuous support and create a sound industrial environment for further expansion of Bosch investments in the city.
The friendly relationship between Bosch and Wuxi is a key factor for the group's success in the city, which has also paved the way for deepening the bilateral cooperation, said Heyn, adding that Bosch will bring more investment and leading technologies to the city.
Having been briefed about the city's achievements in developing the Internet of Things and the smart city construction, Heyn expressed interest in developing new cooperation in those fields.
Bosch Automotive Diesel Systems Co in Wuxi New District is one of the most important bases of the Bosch Group in China. After 10 years of development in the city, the company reached a total sales income of over 10 billion yuan ($1.6 billion) in 2014, doubling up that of 2013. In 2015, the company will continue to increase investments and add new production lines.
Furthermore, in January 2015, the group set up another company – Bosch Automotive System (Wuxi) Co – in the district, with a total investment of 900 million yuan, which will engage in the production and sales of automotive powertrains.
