Wuxi Tablet Inscription Museum opened in 1990 and serves as a professional museology place to collect, display, protect and research tablet inscriptions and inscription rubbings.
The museum originally worked as a municipal school from 1058 to late Qing dynasty (1910s). It is now a “stone library” home to almost 100 tablet inscription, including emperors’ writing, feudal official documents, local historical data, temple documents and ancient model calligraphy.
