Pointing towards the honey peaches being carried to refrigerated trucks, Huang Wei, general manager of SF Express in Wuxi, told reporters, "People in Hong Kong and Macao will get the honey peaches tomorrow."
Honey peaches' short storage time is an obstacle to export.
Therefore, this year, local government and related departments sorted out problems together to facilitate honey peaches' export. In addition, SF Express, a leading domestic courier company, adopts special packing and cold-chain transport to guarantee the fruit's freshness.
The first batch of honey peach transported by SF Express to Hong Kong and Macao is around 10 tons.
And to help farmers sell honey peaches, Wuxi municipal postal administration also organizes express companies to serve in villages. Therefore, it's convenient to sell online.
In 2015, major express companies in Wuxi have transported around 1,000 tons of honey peaches to more than 30 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities, which brought them tens of millions yuan in revenues.
Officials added that in future, Wuxi will build a cross-border business platform, which can shorten delivery time and help in export of seasonal agricultural products.
