The finals of the 2nd National College Competition of the Internet of Things (IOT), organized by the Ministry of Education (MOE), were held at the National IOT Exhibition Center in Wuxi New District, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, on Oct 18.

This year, the competition attracted over 1,600 teams from many famous higher education institutions, 95 of which qualified for the finals.

Sun Jianqiang, with his team from Nanjing University, demonstrated his invention – "RFID (radio frequency identification devices) smart gloves". He could play a virtual piano on the computer screen without touching the computer by wearing the smart gloves. He explained that the special RFID labels on the glove are able to identify the finger moves and send them to intellectual electronic apparatus through wireless signal sensors.
