Wang Jinjian, deputy mayor of Wuxi, Jiangsu province, had talks with Junichi Murashima, chairman of Japanese air-conditioner producer Fujitsu General on Oct 22, the Chinese-language Wuxi Daily reported.
Murashima expressed his appreciation for the support of the Wuxi government and said that Fujitsu General has achieved great success in Wuxi since the establishment of Fujitsu General Central Air-Conditioner (Wuxi) Co., Ltd in 2006, which has reached one billion yuan ($157.4 million) annual turnover.
Wuxi would continue to support the localization strategy of Fujitsu General and the development of other Japanese enterprises in Wuxi, said Wang.
Established in 1936, Fujitsu General is an important member of Fujitsu Corporation, which is a world-famous producer of computers, communication materials and semiconductors. Its Wuxi subsidiary engages in R&D and producing and selling central air-conditioning.
