The resort is named after its resemblance to a lotus flower.
Its ambition is to be a cultural tourism destination, integrating a tourist area, a business street, ecological wetland, a conference center and a hotel zone within an area of 1.1 square kilometers in the town of Lingshan.
Zen is the highlight of the resort, which emphasizes rigorous meditation-practice, insight into Buddha-nature, and the personal expression of this insight in daily life, especially for the benefit of others.
