Wuxi company Xingcheng Special Steel Works, a successful bidder on the creative 350-meter complex Hanking Financial Center in Shenzhen, has provided 24,200 tons of steel structure, reported the Jiangnan Evening News.
The 73-story Hanking Financial Center broke ground in April 2015, and construction is expected to be completed by 2016.
Jiangyin-based Xingcheng stood out from other tenderers of high performance steel by virtue of its advantages in technologies, production, supply and quality.

As a new landmark building in Shennan Avenue, Hanking Financial Center has exceeded the limits of traditional architecture in design and materials.
The building is designed to withstand large wind loads during the typhoons and seismic events that are common to Shenzhen.
The lateral load resisting system chosen to strengthen the structure is a braced steel frame with concrete-filled box columns.
Vertical columns will be placed far from the center of the tower to carry the overturning compressive and tensile forces created by the large wind loads. The columns will be connected by mega bracing consisting of steel box shapes to create a closed tube to resist the lateral shear forces.
The total steel consumption will reach 50,000 tons.
Accordingly, Xinggheng made plans on the one hand to guarantee supply and on the other to repeatedly trial-produce and optimize product processes.
The high-rise structure, designed by Los Angeles-based Morphosis Architects, is a skyscraper ready to bring a change to the tech hub of Shenzhen's skyline. It is expected to be the tallest steel braced frame building in China upon completion.
