The Wuxi municipal commerce bureau highlighted its cultural creative industry at the fourth China (Beijing) International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) from May 28 to June 1, Wuxi Daily reported.
CIFTIS or the Beijing Fair is the first comprehensive platform specializing in trade in services around the world, permanently held in Beijing every year. Wuxi took part in all kinds of CIFTIS activities, including exhibitions, forums, conferences and trade negotiations, in order to promote cultural creative products, expand trade in services as well as increase the city's international presence.
The exhibition showcased its unique cultural creative products, cutting-edge industries and leading enterprises in the cultural and creative sector. It introduced its advanced virtual reality (VR) technology in short promotional videos themed around local cultural elements and a VR game experience area, which gave viewers a unique experience.
Officials from the Wuxi commerce bureau said that the city’s service trade has sustained stable and relatively fast growth over the years and has become an important motor for industrial development and transformation. Wuxi’s services trade volume ranks third amongst cities in Jiangsu province, and has gradually developed its own characteristics in fields like digital cinema, video games and animation software.
