Singapore's consul-general in Shanghai, Loh Tuck Wai, exchanged ideas with Wuxi Mayor Wang Quan about trade, urban construction, culture and tourism in Wuxi on June 7, according to the Wuxi government.
The Wuxi-Singapore Industrial Park, Singapore's first industrial park in China, has developed into a comprehensive high-tech park since it was founded in 1993, said Wang.
So far, Singapore has poured $11.5 billion into 597 projects in Wuxi, and Wuxi has invested $120 million into 25 projects in Singapore.
Loh Tuck Wai said that Singapore enterprises settled in Wuxi in consideration of the city’s development potential and broad prospects for cooperation. He encouraged businesses on both sides to have wider and deeper cooperation in the future and welcomed Wuxi residents to travel in Singapore.
