Government and industry leaders were in attendance at the second ever LeEco Marketing Summit, held in Wuxi National High-tech District (WND) on July 21.
The primary focus of the summit was to discuss the future of eco-marketing and who it can be utilized to further the Chinese technology giant's core areas of business, which includes smart TVs, mobiles, sports, virtual reality, cloud computing and green energy cars.
Experts at the summit also probed into heated topics such as shared marketing, industry marketing, ecological marketing, and intellectual property (IP).
Ye Wanbin, deputy mayor of Wuxi, spoke of the city's desire to create a smart ecosystem for innovative startups, as well as restructuring its traditional industries to focus on smart technology, services, green energy projects. He said the city is also propelling emerging industries such as the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data and Internet Plus. Hu Yi, deputy head of WND said that industries should do more to embrace internet marketing, with a user experience focus.
In 2004, Jia Yueting, founder Letv, which was later to become LeEco, started the business with the strategy of combining platforms, content, terminals and applications to consumers.
