Additionally, one aspect of the marathon that continues to improve is the arrangements and services offered by the organizers with many runners noting the convenience and preparedness of the event. Not only has the prerace packet pickup been streamlined from previous years, but upon finishing the race runners were well-supported and provided with towels, waterproof jackets, food, and isotonic beverages. In addition, well-trained volunteers were on hand to give runners massages in a special tent.
One hallmark of Wuxi Marathon's growth was the event becoming a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) this year. The association is one of the most influential and authoritative international marathon-focused organizations. The deal gives the event greater standing in the international running community and paves the way for Wuxi Marathon's bright future.
