Wuxi National Software Park ranked among the top ten national software industry bases in a report released by China Torch Program, the government reported on Jan 3.
Wuxi National Software Park is the only listed software industry park in East China's Jiangsu province, with its industrial environment and innovation ability ranked second and sixth nationally.
According to the report, the software industry plays a pivotal role in assisting the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, promoting the development of emerging industries and leading technological innovation. It is important to improve the country's overall technological competitiveness and penetrate deeply into various industries and fields of national economic and social development.

China Torch Program Software Industry Bases have been leaders in the country's software technology innovation and industrialization for over 20 years.
A total of 44 software industry parks have been established around the nation, with their combined total revenue reaching 3.98 trillion yuan ($581 billion) in 2017.
As the largest information industry park in the city, Wuxi National Software Park focuses on the development of the software industry and digital economy. As part of the new generation of information technology, such as the internet of things, cloud computing and mobile internet, it provides a quality environment for innovation and entrepreneurship. The park was named an A-level incubator by China Torch Program in 2017.
