Awards were handed out for 60 of the latest internet of things (IoT) technologies, products and applications during a ceremony in Wuxi, Jiangsu province on Sept 7.
The event forms a major part of the ongoing 2019 World Internet of Things Expo, with 10 golden awards, 10 special awards and 40 innovative awards up for grabs in areas such as 5G, the internet of vehicles, intelligent manufacturing, the industrial internet of things, and intelligent energy.
COSMOPlat, a world-leading industrial internet platform with intellectual property rights developed by Chinese home appliance giant Haier Group, was awarded a golden prize.
The firm differs from its industry rivals, with an innovative new business model providing a creative and comprehensive solution to mass customization.
Haier has established an industrial internet of things base in Wuxi with the aim of helping local companies prepare for industrial transformation and upgrading, said Yang Jun, general manager of COSMOPlat.
A total of 1,512 projects from 13 countries and regions were promoted at the event, including 82 from Global Fortune 500 firms such as Huawei, Alibaba, Siemens and Qualcomm.
An annual report compiled by China Economic Information Service on the development of the Chinese IoT industry was also released at the ceremony.
Focusing on integrated innovation and intelligent connectivity, the 2019 World Internet of Things Expo is taking place in Wuxi from Sept 7 to 10.
