International Data Center Project III gets underway in WND

Wuxi National High-tech Distrcit's (WND) China (Wuxi) International Data Center Project entered its third phrase of construction on July 7, taking a step closer to becoming a leading cloud computing center in Asia-Pacific region, reported Wuxi Daily.
With a total investment of 900 million yuan ($134.7 million), the project covers an area of more than 40,000 square meters and is expected to host 6,800 server cabinets. It will also provide services for Internet data center, cloud computing, big data analytics, cloud security for Internet enterprises, financial sectors and government's informationization.
The project will be co-founded by China Telecom's Wuxi branch and Jiangsu Tongyunsheng Information Technology, the subsidiary of Wuxi Lead Intelligent Equipment. It is China Telecom's first project operated in partnership with a private enterprise, and plays a significant role in the progress of cloud computing, Internet of Things and smart city development.
China (Wuxi) International Data Center is constructed in accordance with internationally accredited Tier 4 standards, utilizing China Telecoms 120 Gbps broadband load capacity, which makes it possible to offer major Internet industries, online gamers, and video users cost-effective infrastructure and resources.
The former Wuxi New District, now known as Wuxi Xinwu district or Wuxi National Hi-tech district, was founded in 1992 and underwent administrative changes in 1995, 2002 and 2005.
