Zhangjiagang city has met national standards in balanced development of compulsory education, a supervision examination panel of balanced county compulsory education said on May 19.

In May 2012, the Ministry of Education issued a temporary rule on supervision and evaluation of balanced development of county compulsory education and set up a system to push forward balanced development of compulsory education nationwide.
