The Zhangjiagang Municipal Bureau of Finance is giving full financial support to advance the construction of 10 leaders of science and technology, and to accelerate the building of technological innovation and entrepreneurship incubator and public service platform. The Shazhou Lake Technological Innovation Park has gotten 100 million yuan in investments, and 17 million yuan will go to set up a technological innovation exhibition center in the park, which will provide a platform for the communication and achievement display of technology and innovation.

To promote its districts and towns to increase investments in science and technology innovation, the municipal government is allocating funds for encouragement and support. For example, it is offering up to 1 million yuan for “National Torch Program” special industry bases, provincial high-tech parks and innovative parks, and 2 million yuan for new provincial science-based incubators, accelerators of technology firms and software parks. A 3 million yuan award is given to state-level technology business incubators, university science parks and pioneering parks for returning students. Apart from being rewarded in accordance with city regulations, innovative and venture bases for high-level overseas talent at state and provincial level, Suzhou’s personnel demonstration bases can enjoy a grant of up to 1 million yuan, 500,000 yuan and 200,000 yuan.

Closely focused on the theme of “achievements competition of 810 Projects” (a program involving 80 projects in 10 fields), the city will continue to support the construction of 10 scientific & technological leaders, ensure the implementation of related policies, guarantee adequate financial resources for high-tech industry clusters, and economic transformation and upgrading.
