The first collective group wedding ceremony for migrant workers was held in Yangshe town of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, on Oct 10.

Twenty newlyweds took part in the ceremony, which featured flying balloons, white wedding dresses and colorful flowers. The couples exchanged wedding rings and accepted blessings from relatives and colleagues. In the end, bridegrooms and brides rode bicycles in the town to promote a low-carbon lifestyle.

Migrant workers have played an important role in the city's development. The group wedding aimed to help migrant workers with marriage demands, promote low-carbon weddings and attract more excellent professionals to Zhangjiagang.
