The 2014 Zhangjiagang cross-Straits agriculture expo took place in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, on Nov 7, displaying some 2,000 varieties of agricultural products from Zhangjiagang, neighboring cities and Taiwan.

The three-day event set up 180 booths, offering various specialties such as dried tofu, rice, canola oil and vegetables.

The Taiwan exhibition area also attracted many customers with varieties of fresh fruit including mangoes, shaddocks, wax apples, jackfruit and carambolas, along with famous Taiwan food such as dried fish floss and oolong tea.

The event, with the purpose of strengthening agricultural exchange between two sides and promoting agricultural products, saw fruitful results with hundreds of kilograms of Taiwan fruit sold within two hours on the first day.
