An art gala was presented in the Daxing Cultural Center of Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, on Nov 5, with winners of the "Plum Blossom Award" bringing an art feast for opera lovers in Zhangjiagang.

One of the famous excerpts of Wuxi opera kicked off the artistic performances. Chen Yunxia, a winner of the Plum Blossom Award, wowed audiences with an elegant voice and gorgeous red costume.

In addition, comic dramas, puppet shows and Shaoxing opera received a warm welcome from the audience. Wang Jianwei, an inheritor of Wuxi opera, staged a well-known Wuxi opera excerpt Shajiabang as a grand finale, winning endless applause.
