Tickets for the 2014 China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival, which will raise its curtain on Nov 1, have gone on sale.

According to Feng Yitian, director of the publicity office of Zhangjiagang Poly Theatre, the tickets for the sixth Yangtze River Drama Festival, a part of the Culture and Art Festival, have sparked a craze among theatre goers. "Wuxi opera and Shanghai opera are so popular that there are only a few tickets left," said Feng.

This year's festival continues to highlight frugality, with the tickets sold at favorable prices ranging from 10 yuan ($1.63), 30 yuan to 50 yuan.
