A 10km run and a color run were held beside Fenghuang Lake in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, on April 26.
Over 700 people took part in the 10km run, which was divided into three circuits around Fenghuang Lake.
Yu Xiaoyi, a freshman of Nanjing Normal University, won the men's competition, which lasted around half an hour. "I love running because it can keep me healthy and help me make more friends," he said.
The 10k competition was followed by a color run, which was aimed at encouraging professionals and novices to run together for fun and emphasize the importance of participation, entertainment and color.
The run around Fenghuang Lake was the second part of the city's marathon series with the goal of promoting a low-carbon lifestyle. So far, the city is home to over 50 running organizations with around 10,000 active members.
