Zhangjiagang Primary School signed an agreement on STEM courses with Pearson Education Ltd, the world's leading learning company that helps learners of all ages make progress in their lives. The agreement was signed on Sept 14 in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, informed an official.
According to it, Pearson will conduct a year-long STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) teaching experiment in two classes of the school. And the experiment will serve as a base for STEM's promotion in China.
STEM courses focus on the integration of different subjects to improve students' innovation and practical skills. It has been promoted as a key part of American education development, earlier by President George W Bush and now by ongoing President Barack Obama.
