Zhangjiagang's date with international humor art

The fifth international humor art festival is scheduled to kick off in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province on Nov 1. It will be the part of 2015 China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture Festival, informed one of the organizers.
Themed "Humor enriches life and laugh connects world," the three-day event will invite large number of humor artists from seven countries and regions including Taiwan, Hungary, France and Ukraine.
A xiangsheng (comic dialogue) show will also be part of the festival. Presented by Jiang Kun, a famous cross talker in China, the show will feature Jiang Kun's xiangsheng works during the past 40 years.
In addition, Suzhou pingtan (a form of storytelling and ballad performance in the Suzhou dialect) will be staged during the festival.
Co-organized by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chinese Ballad Singers Association and China Acrobats Association, the festival will see Chinese and foreign humor artists presenting different countries' humor art and will enhance the art communication between China and foreign countries, added the organizer.
