Cultural festival concludes

The 2015 China (Zhangjiagang) Yangtze River Culture and Art Festival concluded on Nov 6 in Zhangjiagang's Poly Theatre.
During the six-day long festival, a string of cultural activities including story telling of cultural relics, humor festival, folk art festival and xiaoxi (story-telling with songs and dances) and xiaopin (Chinese skit) show have been conducted. While artists from home and abroad had gathered to show both Chinese and foreign culture.
Tthe highlight of this year's event was the artists, who took their performances to residential communities, districts and towns, enabling locals to experience a close-up encounter with all of the actions.
Zhu Lifan, the mayor of Zhangijiagang gave the closing speech and said, "Zhangjiagang will take the festival as an opportunity to boost the innovative development of Yangtze River culture."
