Zhangjiagang holds sessions of CPPCC and NPC

The two sessions of Zhangjiagang including the fifth session of the 11th Zhangjiagang Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and the fifth session of the 13th Zhangjiagang People's Congress (NPC), opened on Jan 5 and 6, respectively.
Economy, environmental protection, education, health care and social security have been the hot topics during the 5-day two sessions.
From 2016, China's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020) will begin and at the two sessions, advisors were eager to voice opinions on various issues, such as encouraging innovation, integration of culture and Internet, and improving home-based services for the aged.
The CPPCC member Chen Hezhong said, "Innovation plays a key role in driving a city's development and our focus should be on transforming the patent technology into productive force."
Another member Wang Shaojie believed that the cultural industry will have a bright future if integrated with mobile Internet.
