Zhangjiagang's science museum proved to be popular destination for families during May Day, as parents and children spent the public holiday learning about the natural world.

On the second floor of the museum parents and children were entertained by a fancy dress competition and an interactive science show entitled "Crazy Science".

"I take my child here every week," said one parent, who thought it meaningful for young children to learn about science at a young age in order to help study later on.

Zhangjiagang's science museum is always open during public holidays as it is an ideal time for family day outs. The museum often launches displays and activities in local communities, schools and enterprises in order to promote the popularization of science.
