An audible book named "Glamorous Suzhou" was released last week at the 2016 Singapore Book Fair. The 100-episode audio book is produced by the Suzhou Municipal Government Information Office and the Suzhou People's Radio Station.

The book has four parts featuring tourist attractions, folk customs, Suzhou cuisine, and Suzhou artists and celebrities. It will be broadcast via six Chinese radio channels in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Macau, Seattle and Suzhou from June to September.

At the book fair, Suzhou also exhibited fruit pit carvings and silk embroidery pieces, both on the list of intangible cultural heritages. Books and cultural products about Suzhou were also sold at book fair. Suzhou author Ye Mi talked about her city to Singaporean readers.

Suzhou Daily Group and Singapore Lianhe Zaobao Group signed an agreement to promote each other’s cities through their publications and online media.

Singapore Book Fair has been held annually since 1985 and has become a major cultural event in Asia, attracting publishing companies from China, Malaysia, India and other countries.
