A touring exhibition of selected works from Suzhou art teachers landed at its first stop at the Zhangjiagang Art Museum on Dec 21.
The exhibition attracted 18 teachers from primary and middle schools in Zhangjiagang and Suzhou (the city that oversees Zhangjiagang), as well as three invited painters to display more than 80 artistic works, such as ink and wash paintings, oil paintings, pastels and line drawings.
The exhibition was launched by nine senior teachers of basic arts education, including Ju Songnan, an expert in traditional Chinese ink and wash paintings and a member of the China Artists Association.
As a pioneer event, the exhibition is aimed at driving local teachers' passion for artistic creation, improving their creativity and promoting the development of art education in the port city. The exhibition will remain open until Jan 20, 2017.
