Hard work will always pay off. Since then, Ye's inspiration has lead to a flood of dozens of pieces in a single month, while the nostalgic young man frankly admitted his favorite was still the Shrimp.
His works have also advanced rapidly. In just half an hour, Ye finished his latest work of the Plum Blossom Valley, depicting the charming scenery in Xiangshan, the city's most renowned landscape, with mountainous slopes of plum blossoms in colorful contrast to the tranquil lake and elegant pavilions.
"I've long been enchanted by the picturesque views of Xiangshan since my arrival at the city three years ago. Though I haven't made my trip, my painting has somewhat lightened my longing."
"Zhangjiagang is also amazing, I enjoy myself living and working here, and I also want to keep on recording its beauty," Ye said.
