A new sports park will soon open to the public in Zhangjiagang, East China’s Jiangsu province, according to authorities.

The park is located north of Xiangnanxi Road and west of Xiangshan Ring Road in Jingang town, and covers an area of more than 220,000 square meters.

Construction on the park began in October 2017 and landscaping and paving work have already been completed.

The park includes a main square, a bicycle sculpture square, and a man-made beach, and has 200,000 square meters of greenery.

A full array of sports facilities will be installed to meet public demand, officials said.

The park is also designed to host national-level amateur sporting events, such as bicycle races and marathons.
