The government affairs bureau in Zhangjiagang, East China’s Jiangsu province has rolled out a series of measures to ensure work efficiency during the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia.
In order to minimize human-to-human contact, people are encouraged to complete procedures online instead of visiting the bureau in person.
“I didn’t expect my online application to be approved so quickly,” said Qian, operator of a local cosmetics company.
To help relieve the shortage of essential supplies in the fight against the virus, Qian decided to produce and sell disinfectants, which required approval from the authorities.
She submitted the application online on Feb 12 and received approval on Feb 14. The paper-made certificate was delivered to her through EMS.
To date, the city has handled 426 affairs online, offered seven online consulting services and 1,497 consulting services by phone, winning the praise of locals.
