Eiheiji-cho donates masks to Zhangjiagang

Eiheiji-cho, Fukui Prefecture, Japan recently donated 31 boxes of N95 masks to Zhangjiagang, East China’s Jiangsu province, to help the city fight against the COVID-19 outbreak.
According to Xu Lihua, deputy director of the city’s foreign affairs office, Zhangjiagang and Eiheiji-cho began communicating with each other in 1990 and officially established a partnership in August 1997.
Over the past few decades, Zhangjiagang has sent nearly 100 officials and middle school students to visit Eiheiji-cho and has received more than 300 delegates from the region.
Eiheiji-cho has also gifted a number of cherry trees to Dongduyuan scenic area in Zhangjiagang.
