Suzhou Tongda Machinery Co, a blow molding machine producer based in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu province, has seen a surge in orders since the Spring Festival holiday, due to the large demand for disinfection buckets during the novel coronavirus outbreak.
“We produced more than 50 blow molding machines in March and have another 200 to finish. The delivery time will continue until July,” said Zhu Jianxin, the company’s deputy general manager.
Since the beginning of the outbreak, the demand for 20-liter and 25-liter disinfection buckets has kept increasing around the country and orders for equipment to produce the buckets rose accordingly.
“All our production lines have been operating at full capacity, with employees working overtime,” said Hui Bin, head of the company’s production department.
Founded in 1999, the company has focused on the research and development, manufacturing and sales of production equipment for plastic vessels, automotive parts and the bases for solar power generators.
It has been granted 39 invention patents and 32 utility model patents, and its products are sold to Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas.
In the future, the company plans to invest more in research and development and introduce advanced manufacturing techniques with the aim of expanding its business to more precise machinery production.
