Updated: 2011-09-22

Haitan green tea comes from the middle of the towering Luoxiao mountain range in Lianhua town of Pingxiang city. The place, of undulating elevated mountains, heavy mists, fertile soil, plentiful rainfall, exuberant woods, and varying temperatures between day and night, enjoys exceptionally advantageous ecological environment to produce quality tea.

Haitan green tea is a high-grade handmade tea. It reputed as "high mountain cloud and mist tea". It is an organic tea that lives up to international standards and trends.

The tea is known for its thin twigs with flower pekoes. It has a pure sweet smell and tastes refreshing. The tea looks emerald green. It is on a par with West Lake Longjing Tea. Zhu Yifan, tutor of the last emperor of Qing Dynasty, whose ancestor’s home was in Lianhua county, once wrote an antithetical couplet citing the tea.
