The fourth China•Longnan Hakka Round House Culture Tourism Festival opened on Oct 28. A large-scale party was held in the evening for the opening ceremony, which was attended by famous Chinese hosts and singers and stars from home and abroad.

The Festival is an important tourism-building activity for the county and aims to increase understandings of the culture heritage of Hakka round house. It hopes to promote the county’s Hakka round houses and ecological leisure resources to cultural tourism professionals. The Festival also hopes to enhance the popularity of Longnan county.

The Festival, sponsored by Longnan county Party Committee and Longnan county People's Government, focuses on the round house, or, encircled house, a Hakka building style, and tourism as its theme.
