Mount Longhu launches preferential activities

The Longhu Mountain Scenic Area, with the title of "World Cultural and Natural Heritage", will launch a one-month activity themed "A Preferential Month to Pray for and Celebrate the Year of Dragon".

The Longhu Mountain Scenic Area is situated 16 kilometers away from Yingtan city of Jiangxi province to the southwest. It covers an area of over 220 square kilometers. It belongs to China's typical Danxia landform which is suitable for a self-driven tour.

From Jan 20 to Feb 20, 2012, the Longhu Mountain Scenic Area hosted the preferential month activity with www.17u.cn, a noted tourist website in China, after implementing a one-month free ticket policy at the end of last year. Tourists only paid 125 yuan for the entrance ticket booked on www.17u.cn, comparing with the market price of 225 yuan without discount.

"The position and landscape of the Longhu Mountain Scenic Area is perfect for a self-driven tour. In recent years, Mount Longhu has made improvements in promoting this ability. I hope that it provides more convenience and preference for self-driven travelers," said Jiang Heping, director of Longhu Mountain Tourist Administration.

In a short period after the golden week, the number of tourists enjoying the one-month preferential treatment has exceeded 2,000. Many sightseers prefer to go on a tour after the Spring Festival to avoid the crowd during the golden week. Scenic areas like Longhu Mountain which has favorable self-driving conditions and offer preferential tickets will become the top option for many travelers.

Longhu Mountain Scenic Area has planned a series of themed activities in the first quarter of 2012. Tourists will have a chance to appreciate a lively spring on Mount Longhu.
