Guifeng receives middle evaluation for being a world geological park

On May 29, experts from the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) carried out a middle evaluation of the environmental protection, construction and management of Guifeng's scenic spots as part of its application to become a world geological park.

After knowing about the details in protection, construction and management of the scenic spot, the experts went to the Osmanthus Garden, the Hero Hill and the Qingshui Lake to conduct an on-site inspection. With strong interest in the natural landscape of Guifeng, the experts thought highly of Guifeng's Danxia landforms and the organization of the scenic spot.
