2012 China Red Tourism Expo to kick off

The press conference for the 2012 China Red Tourism Expo was held in Nanchang on June 5. This exposition will last from June until September in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province. The opening ceremony of the expo and a celebration gala will be held on July 1.

During the exposition, there will be a series of red cultural events. This includes a themed online cartoon activity, a red movie show called "red Anyuan", a trade fair and an academic forum on developing red tourism and carrying forward red culture. There will also be an inauguration ceremony of a Mao Zedong porcelain statue called "Chairman Mao going to Anyuan", a sightseeing tour of the Wugong Mountain scenic spot and the first Lotus Cultural Tourism Festival.
