Two private museums and one university museum will be established in Jiangxi province. The museums were approved by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture. The museums are the Sanbao International Ceramic Art Museum, Ning Gang Art Museum in Jingdezhen, and Nanchang University Museum.
The Sanbao International Ceramic Art Museum in Jingdezhen provides a platform for the exchange of ceramic culture between east and west. It has collected thousands of ceramic art pieces from various countries, such as the UK, United States, France, Japan, North Korea and Australia. The museum is divided into several areas including the raw material processing area, ceramic making area, pottery firing area and international ceramics exhibition area.
Ning Gang Art Museum is a private museum established by Professor Ning Gang, a stylistic master of Chinese ceramic art. The ceramic arts on display are made by Ning Gang and other representative ceramic artists in Jingdezhen. The exhibition is a full display of modern Chinese ceramic art.
Nanchang University Museum is the first university museum in Jiangxi, featuring exported ceramic works from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). A top–level exhibition of Qing Dynasty ceramic art was recently held in the museum. The museum promotes ceramic culture among university students and contributes to the research of exported ceramic.
