Summer tea picking has become a tourist attraction in Tanghu town, Suichuan county, Jiangxi province, attracting large numbers of tourists.
Tanghu is the origin of the well-known Gougunao tea and is home to the hot spring with the highest temperature and largest flow in Jiangxi province. Taking advantage of the tea and hot spring tourism resources, the tourism industry in Tanghu has developed rapidly in recent years. Summer is a slow season for hot spring tourism, but tea picking has attracted tourists to experience rural life in Tanghu.
Tourists pick tea leaves in the tea garden and can also make tea on their own to experience the life of being a tea peasant.
