When an Asian black bear was found in a village in Jilin province, much to the surprise of locals, policemen did everything they could to try to get the unexpected visitor back to the proper forest where it belonged.
Some people in a village in Qingling county, near Changbai Moutain saw the lone black bear, about 2 meters in height, on Monday morning, wandering near some houses, and they alerted the police.
The bear had got up on his hind legs and put his forepaws against a shop window where the owner was serving three customers, one of whom explained, “I was terrified at the sight of such a big black thing so close to me."
The 59-year-old owner added, “Fortunately, my customers helped me lock the door.”

There are approximately 700 Asian black bears in Jilin province and they are aggressive in nature. So, the policemen asked people to stay indoors because they could frighten the animal and kept just behind bear until he wandered back to the forest.
One policeman commented, “This is the first time in about 30 years for a black bear to pay us a visit and it does scare many people.”
