When the 12th China International Agricultural Products Trade Fair, in Qingdao, Shandong province, came to an end on Oct 29, Jilin province participants had sold more than 10-million-yuan ($1.64 million) worth of goods, on the spot, making trade value of 3.7 billion yuan in total. They also won some "Best organization" and "Best design" awards, while five products, including rice and linseed oil, got gold prizes.

The exhibition's focus was on rural reform and modern agriculture to provide a more professional, market-oriented fair. There were also forums on risk management, informatization, and veterinary medicine, and a showcase of agricultural achievements, which had a positive effect on international exchanges and cooperation as well as agricultural product circulation and trade, and increased use of science and technology.

The Jilin delegation had 26 booths, and more than 400 displays of green, top-quality farm products, including food and gardening specialties. They were able to show Jilin's developments and industries, with help from the provincial agriculture committee, and did a brisk business with their products.
