The city of Jilin in Northeast China’s Jilin province embraced the beautiful rime scenery on Nov 16, 2014. The soft rime in the city is one of China’s top natural wonders.

The most beautiful soft rime is found along the Songhua River in downtown Jilin city because water in the section rarely freezes throughout the winter.

Rime is ice crystals that condense on tree branches when water vapor from warmer rivers meets the cold water.
