Seeking most typical specialties of Changchun

The list of "Top 10 Specialties of the city" was unveiled at a news conference in Changchun, capital city of Northeast China’s Jilin province on Dec 8.
The list includes the most popular specialties of Changchun, such as Songhuajiang rice, Yushu dry bean curd, Dingfengzhen pastry, Shuangyang deer products and Haoyue beef.

The top 10 list was selected from more than 100 candidate specialties through rounds of competition, including nomination, online voting, and review by experts.
The city’s publicity department, Internet information authority and commission of rural affairs launched the online voting campaign in mid July, and encouraged more people to take part in the event through various channels, such as weibo (micro blog), weixin (or Wechat), videos and mobile newspapers.

In the past several months, about 2 million people contributed to a total of about 100 million votes for their favorite specialties.
The organizing committee will host a group of promotion activities to strengthen branding for both the top 10 specialties and for the city itself.
