Hunchun eyes international logistics hub in NE Asia

The city of Hunchun in Northeast China’s Jilin province will provide more quality services and a better investment environment to accelerate the construction of the China - Northeast Asia (Hunchun) trade logistics project, according to Hunchun International Cooperation Demonstration Zone Management Committee.
Upon its completion, the city will serve as an international trade and logistics distribution center for countries in Northeast Asia.
Since early this year, Hunchun has begun a total of 180 key projects, and had attracted an investment of 14.25 billion yuan ($2.32 billion) by the end of September.
And the investment in logistics accounted for about 15.2 percent of this year’s total.
The first phase of the construction project of Hunchun International Trade City will be completed by the end of May, 2015.
After the project’s completion, Hunchun will certainly attract more resources in consumers, logistics, capital and information, which are key elements for Hunchun to realize its orientation as an international logistics base.
