Jilin gets national funds for industrial innovation

Two Jilin provincial industrial parks were named as China national innovative technology pilot zones promoted by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) on Tuesday, January 20, 2015.

Two major automobile manufacturers based in Changchun–First Automobile Works and FAW-Volkswagen Automobile, along with a cluster of assembling and accessories companies will work together by putting great emphasis on electronic control and safety, information systems and intelligent transportation.

The selection of the pilot zones, aimed at nurturing influential brands and leading industrial clusters in 3-5 years is largely funded by MOST. The China Northeast province has also gained a reputation for its pharmaceutical industry based in Tonghua city with a number of 94 companies.

So, the Tonghua medical innovative cluster will receive government funding for pharmaceutical research and development.
