The freight on board was mainly Jilin-produced corn for Chengdu, as the city has a huge demand for fodder and brewing. According to Sichuan Grain Bureau, the Chengdu region needs 8 million tons of corns each year, making it rank the second place nationwide for corn consumption.

The train ran across the Northeast China Plain, and North China Plain, helping cut transportaion costs and time before arriving in Chengdu, captial city of Sichun province on January 28.
