Jilin province initiated a promotion meeting in Shanghai which brought more than thousand leading companies in the Yangtze River Delta together to discuss about possible investments and sign business agreementson Friday, Feb 27.

Bayanqolu, Jilin Party secretary gave a description of Jilin’s economic situation, particularly a plan for revitalizing its heavy industry, and noting that Jilin has a solid foundation in automobiles, the chemical business, food processing industry and an abundance of land and natural resources to representatives from various business sectors at the meeting.

 He also invited more businessmen in the region to increase cooperation with Jilin in the above areas in 2015.

Business representatives all expressed an interest in Jilin’s plan on revitalizing the old Northeast Industrial Bases, and said their companies are looking for more economic cooperation here in the future.

Jiang Chaoliang, governor of Jilin along with other government officials attended the meeting.
