After graduating from Jilin Business and Technology College, Li Feng got a job in the city of Changchun, Jilin Province, with the Yi Anyuan district's Funeral Service Center where his work involved receiving and registering the recently deceased, standing and making a silent memorial in the farewell hall, then taking the casket to the crematorium.
This is what the 30-year-old Li has been doing, over and over, every day, for the past eight years. But he takes a philosophical view of the work, calling it "life's final service station", and says he needs to try to do his best to serve the departed and bring comfort to their families.
